Navid Nuur: Untitled (An Aquadelic Ringtone, 2014)
Navid Nuur’s editions derive from his solo exhibition at 1646, Lost Licks, which explored the things we notice subconsciously, or the things we fail to notice because we are focussing on something else. For example, upon licking your finger to turn a page, do you remember the flavor of your hand?
For this Benefactor’s edition, Nuur used acid, road sign paint and his own spit to make a silkscreen image, giving the edition a residual connection to the artist himself. Each one of Navid Nuur’s editions is handmade and unique.
Blue styrofoam, silkscreen, acid, spit, glitter, road sign paint, pushpins, salt. 72,5 x 49,5 x 2 cm (sizes differ slightly per edition) Number of editions: 27 (+6 a.p.) You will receive the lowest available number.
